Denver&CO. is a growing Denver-based events and experiential marketing agency founded by Haleigh Watts & Maggie Berra. We help brands connect with their communities through thoughtful storytelling, earned media, creator relationships, creative partnerships, and memorable brand experiences.
We're currently a team of two founders with a quickly growing client roster. We're looking for a freelance PR & Brand Experiences Coordinator to support us through the end of the year — with the potential to continue growing with us beyond December.
This role combines PR and storytelling with event and experiential support. One day, you might research journalists and draft a pitch. Another day, you might organize a guest list, coordinate with vendors, or help welcome guests at an event.
- Researching journalists, outlets, newsletters, and relevant media opportunities
- Building and maintaining targeted media lists
- Identifying timely story angles for our clients
- Drafting pitches, press releases, media alerts, fact sheets, and talking points
- Organizing press materials, photography, and client information
- Tracking outreach, responses, interviews, follow-ups, and coverage
- Monitoring relevant news, trends, and editorial opportunities
- Supporting media visits, interviews, and post-event follow-up
- Supporting launches, press previews, creator events, tours, and community activations
- Researching and communicating with venues, vendors, and partners
- Maintaining timelines, checklists, budgets, guest lists, and RSVP trackers
- Preparing event materials, briefing documents, and run-of-show information
- Assisting with setup, guest check-in, on-site coordination, and breakdown
- Anticipating logistical challenges and helping develop backup plans
We're looking for someone who is organized, reliable, and attentive to detail — a clear and thoughtful communicator who is calm and solutions-oriented when plans change. Perfectly aligned experience is not required. We care more about judgment, communication, follow-through, and willingness to grow.
- Organized, reliable, and attentive to detail
- A clear and thoughtful communicator
- A strong researcher and capable writer
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and follow-ups
- Curious, resourceful, and willing to learn
- Calm and solutions-oriented when plans change
- Professional and personable with clients, media, creators, vendors, and guests
- Interested in Denver's businesses, culture, and community
You may be a fit if you have 1–3 years of experience in public relations, communications, journalism, events, experiential marketing, hospitality, or a related area. Internships, campus organizations, freelance projects, and independently produced events all count. A degree is not required.
- Freelance engagement from September 1 through December 31, 2026
- Possibility of extension based on work, budget, performance, and mutual interest
- ~10–12 hours per week (40–50 hours per month) — contractor determines schedule except for meetings, deadlines, and on-site events
- $30/hour for approved billable work — additional hours must be approved in advance
- Mix of independent remote work, virtual meetings, and on-site Denver support
- Ability to attend scheduled evening and weekend Denver-area events as needed
This is an independent freelance engagement, not an employee position. The contractor is responsible for their own equipment, taxes, insurance, and ordinary business expenses. Denver&CO. will provide client information, brand materials, templates, and collaborative access needed to complete assigned projects.
